my cousin is of to the states this week and i can get it for approx 192 pounds at todays exchange rate, it will be the genuine retail box version.
i know the pioneer 104 is held in high regards on this board and was wondering if i should pay a little extra for a more newer model. just opinons please.:)

i wouldnt get it, get the sony or the nec dvdrw drive. i dont when the latters out. but they both support [+ & - ]

i have just got a 105 and it cracking, its great, don't care whether it doesn't do +r cause +r is poo and not as compatible with dvd standalone players

i got the 105 and i think it,s tops even more useful when 4 times media is cheap.........

cheers for all the replys guys, ended up buying the pioneer dvr-104 for £160 notes delivered, works perfect.

lol :D, in the future, they will come out the with the pioneer A07 which triple the speed of the pioneer A05 but at the same price...... lol :D

same goes out for those cd-rw burner a long time ago, so that's why i'm not getting a dvd-rw burner now.....

becuz why, well, it's cost more, write slower, support less format, and other more features too..........

so why not wait another year or so to get a way better one with a great better price.......

this is my experience when i got the cdrw-burner long time ago for 200 bucks (8x4x32x) now down to 99 bucks (32x12x42x) which is way faster than my old one....... and beside, my old one doesn't have that damn buffer run protection too, made wasted like 20 cdrs!!! lol :D
