My son has a ps2 v5 (UK) modded with Messiah. It plays copies and originals no problem.

He has rented The Getaway from Blockbuster and can't play it 'cause the controller won't work! Every other game he has is OK.

Is this game clever enough to know its in a modded ps2 and therefore disables the controller.

Anyone else have problems with this game or have any ideas?

Cheers.

First I've heard of that mate to be honest. I'd personally try taking that copy back and saying it skips e.t.c and get a different copy. I've had a few iffy games from Blockbusters recently, they look o.k on the disc surface but my PC wouldn't read them properly.. ;)

No, No, No. You have to use the DUAL SHOCK 2 Controllers. Some of the New games have to use the DS2 Controllers. To name another is Shinobi. Hope that helps.

All old controllers won't work with it no matter what you try. It's not the controller that's bad. That's how it's made.
