i know its a stupid question but ???

a patch used for dvd ripped games to make the game play without a chip or other form of modification, usually a patch to make the cdr play under the 650mb TOC limits of the ar2/gs2

many people use a no-mod method to boot cd-rs such as a knife/card swap trick, a no solder mod, or the new pop top covers.
these methods limit the cd-rs to be roughly 70 mins but unfortunately, the size of dvd-rips generally are over this. the patches are made to fix this.
