I am making a birthday cd for my girlfriend.What I want to know is how can I name the cd so when she puts it into her drive she can look at the cdrom and it will say what I want it to.:confused:

But seriously if you mean the volume name, then it would depend on the app that you were using. I can tell you that in Nero you just right click on the label at the start of the compilation and rename it.... I would imagine that most apps are pretty similar.

I think your answer will lie in text-on-cd, so it will depend if your burnware and hardware can both support that, but you may need to provide more info..

In any case, why I REALLY posted was to thank you for a good thought, and I'll be keeping an eye out for the responses...

You could use autorun.inf to display a text message or a graphic when the cd is inserted. Autoinsert notification has to be enabled.

I think you can download Autoplay Menu Studio on a 30 day trial (www.indigorose.com ?) which would be perfect for this.
