only if it is dvdr based, it says it on the original packaging, you can download various programs to rip a dvdr to a cdr so you wont need a dvd writer but im finding it hard to get hold of them, its best to buy them on cdr from various sources and just choose copy cd, a mate of mine copys dvdr games striaght onto a dvd disk from the original and they all work fine.

no svcd/vcd capabilities for ps2 but divx works now. I recomend buying or making dvdr backups of your games, cdr games wear out your laser very quickly, I should know i already replaced one laser cause of cdr games.
