my friends and i have 4 xboxs between us. we've all got crossover cables and one of my friends has a hub.

is this all we need? just plug it all in and play the same was as we would with just two xboxs?

You need a hub and standard network cables, not crossover cables. Crossover cables are only if you are directly connecting one Xbox to another. You need standard straight network cables when using a hub.
