I'm in the market for a new computer. Right now I have a 450mhz/128 ram machine. All I really do is go on the internet, and burn. I hardly ever play games, so I don't think I need a top-notch machine. Anyways this is the computer I was looking at: here (http://www.circuitcity.com/detail.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1422823138.1040009899@ @@@&BV_EngineID=ccchadcgmmiggficfngcfkmdffhdffg.0&catoid=-8024&qp=0&bookmark=bookmark_6&oid=61056) - comments? I also figured I can add a video card once I have more cash. Oh, and is there room for another hdd?

I'm going to move this to the Consumer's Opinion forum for you. You might need to give the specifications of the system since your link to Circuit City is no longer valid. So if you give us more information, we will give you our opinions.

Didn't realize the link had died. It's the emachines t2200. To see it go to www.circuitcity.com->computers->desktops.

ack - I would steer clear of eMachines... they last about as long as the warranty (if your lucky). Try checking out the machines at a local computer shop, build you own finding parts on PriceWatch (http://www.pricewatch.com), or check out the MicroTel PC's from Walmart.com

EMachines are virtually non-upgradable. What you buy is basically what you are stuck with. If your not comfortable building your own system, Dell is offering some good prices. I know that in the states that they are offering many post secondary education students (anything after high school) an 8% discount on top of whatever other deals that they have going at the time. If you have a very close friend or relative that is eligible perhaps they'd purchase one for you.
