i have my xbox chipped(not sure which chip though)
having read through forums and guides etc i know the proceedure for ftp'ing,but what i'm confused about is what exactly do i need to load into the hdd first,i read about evox and executor but not exactly sure what is what,do i nedd both or just one installed onto hdd and does this modify the bios permanantly,but if chipped already do i need any of those?
bit confused,just a simple explanation of what i need onn modded box.

You don't have to put EvoX Dash on your HD in order to FTP. It will work also from a DVD-R or CD-RW.

You need EvoXDash. Read the post on networking/ftp in the FAQ section, or check out xbox-scene
