Ok, first post so bear with me.
My problem is a downloaded iso which comes in the form of a .nrg Nero Image File. I wanna open this and extract the ISO within. The question is - how do I do it? And before you advise me to use ISObuster or CDMage, I've tried both and they won't work. All CDMage does is extracting a .tao file - but i can't do anything with that either!

u could try burning the image then extracting a new iso off of the cd itself

Yeah, but I'm thinking there has to be a way of converting this Image file into the ISO which it contains. Which programs are used to make these .nrg files?

iso is just a format. The nrg file you have doesnt contain an ISO, but individual files, and folders. What is it that you have you d/l'ed?

Mount it in Daemon tools then copy and paste the data you want off it, should work without problems.

Yeah thanks, this clarifies it quite a bit. FYI, this a Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 CDRip which has been prepared as a .nrg file. It actually came split into many parts, so I figured it for an ISO. Not chuffed to see a .nrg file, when almost everyone knows that Nero can handle Xbox ISO image quite fine.

easiest way is to go to a dos prompt and change the file name of it to .iso instead of .nrg then use xisos to extract the files.
