Lexar Dec 16, 2002, 08:04 PM as the topic says what is the best media to use? celtic_druid Dec 16, 2002, 10:41 PM Moving this to CoOp. lordofthedeals Dec 18, 2002, 05:59 AM Infiniti DVD-R, highly recommended for PS and X box backups www.lordofthedeals.co.uk Trader Dec 18, 2002, 01:21 PM also from www.xsct.co.uk Teclis Dec 19, 2002, 12:45 AM Depends on what u want to spend. The best but expensive in my opinion is Verbatim sparkymarky Dec 19, 2002, 02:27 AM I use datasafe riteks 76 pence which I have found to be excellent but I hear they will be discontinueing soon. Dvd master 90 pence are excellent but pricey so i use the ones svp sell which are virtually the same but alot cheaper like dvd master discs at svp are 75 pence Traxdata are another excellent disc but again a little dearer at £1 liveboots Dec 19, 2002, 06:17 AM how's that FWS ritek disc? anyone used that or know its compatibility with standalones/ps2? Phyphor Dec 19, 2002, 10:27 AM Anyone tried the Ritek Gold/purple line? http://store.yahoo.com/meritline/dvdrblankmedia.html handyguy Dec 22, 2002, 11:53 AM Sony. Of course, they cost the most too but they weren't asking about price. HugeMonster Dec 22, 2002, 12:43 PM liveboots, to answer your question about the FWS - Rytek discs, they are basically identical to TRAXDATA, (it is the same dye) so work very reliably with dvd players and the ps2 danman Dec 22, 2002, 12:54 PM DVD Master are by far the best of about 60 different DVD-R I have tried. Simple as that, no outer edge probs that some/most media seems to have. ashex2001 Dec 22, 2002, 04:32 PM ive been using the FWS discs. i got a pack of 10 free with my pioneer and apart from the usual few coasters at the start ive had no probs. been using them for 4/5 monthsd now - no coasters etc, playback perfect. also the dvdrs u produce (movies) boot straight up on the psx2 - no chip needed, (but that could be the norm cos ive only recently got a psx2). gsand Dec 22, 2002, 05:48 PM traxdata and dvd master r the best reasonably priced ones then verbatim |
