My question is how would I find out who made a modem? It's already installed in this guy's computer and I whant to find the drivers for it

if you got win98se, it should tell you in device manager. right click my compo,go down properties,go down to modem.then go from there.

I format the hard drive because I installed XP. The modem is not a pci card. The mother board has pins sticking out of it for the modem. I would just get anoter modem but the mother board has no more pci slots avaliable.

have you thought of getting an external modem either USB or Serial?

Check your motherboard model number and you should get the drivers for it.
