Hi, I'm considering purchasing a DVD-R drive, and I have a few questions.

First of all...around how long does it take to write a DVD that is close to 4.7gb on a 2x, and 4x writer? If it's too slow...I may not want the bother.

Also, any opinions on a decent DVD-R drive? I don't want to spend a ton of money, but I don't want a piece of junk either. I'm not in a real hurry to get one, so do you think waiting for this new Sony everyone is talking about be a good idea? Thanks

@ 2X you are looking at around 25-30mins
@ 4X 12-15mins

Plenty of people already got the Sony, if you have a search you can read what they think about it.
