The post below on aspi drivers helped with my Nero but when I put a cd in my cd rom or a dvd in my dvd it wont show a disk as being loaded. they are both generic drives. cd comes up as atapi and the dvd comes up as ide. I havent even used these drives that much. So I dont think that they are bad. they are on different ide lines.
