Most of the time when I try to download anything trough IE I get this message "The connection with the server has been reset" and the download stops" I have also tried to use Get Right to download but it will also get disconnected from the server. I can download fine and at top speeds using programs like Mirc , Emule and Kazaa. I run Outpost in my firewall and the only thing that gets blocked is NetBIOS traffic and I have normally always have this blocked, I also connect trough my linksys router and I haven't changed anything really in that I just have my open ports for emule. Another problem I been having is that my pages don't open up all the time I get Cannot find server the page cannot be displayed and only when I refresh or Ctrl F5 does the page then display. there is also a problem with sharing on my LAN yesterday it wasn't working so I just went trough the wizard thing got it back up and working and got back the network icon back on the start bar so I transferred 5GB+ from one pc to another today I try to go back on to the LAN network, the network icon in the start bar is gone and I cant access the shared hard drive on the networked pc.

thanks for reading all this any help much appreciated

What OS do you have? It sounds like IE may be corrupt, try re-installing it or upgrading it. Try closing all the firewalls on all the PC's see if it works better without them.

Go to add/remove program...double click it....should give you an option to repair, remove, or go back to previous configuration...

Look for Mirosoft Internet Explorer 6 & Internet Tools.

I have exactly the same problem still not found a solution. Im not on a Lan though.

None of the above will solve it.

It happens for me with windows IE and netscape.

On Linux with all browsers netscape, gnatilus, Mozilla etc.

P2P Apps fine.

Ive also tried another ISp different modem still happening.

It cant be outpost I use it too in windows but that wouldnt affect Linux.

I use DAP for my windows downloads it manages to resume them all you should try it.

Reinstalls of both Os didnt solve the only thing Is it all seemed to start when I got my Pioneer DVR 104 writer.
