i have GTA:Vice City on Princo DVD-R. it loads ok and the sound works, but every couple of minutes the gameplay stops and says "Loading" the sound plays and after roughly 2 minutes it starts to play again, why? it's not b/c of the media because all of my DVD-R games are on Princos and they all work fine. do i just need to get a new copy or what?

I'd try a different media mate for this particular game. Go for a expensive brand like Verbatim, Apple or Pioneer for it. Its a laser intensive game and continually seeking the disc for the right data, both have to be spot on for this game to work smoothly.

yup u got no chance with princo for vice city, it needs verbatim r somethin. i tried it with bulkpaq gen4, datasafe, datasafe classic and whitelabel but had no luck till i put it on verbatim so go for that.regards,gsand.

I got VC on a Princo, and haven't had a problem.

People talk like this game is just too great to work on any other disk other than verb and apple. It depends on the quality of the disk, and type of burner is was burned with(quality) and the PS2 laser.

data safe and traxdata have very dark purple bottoms and work perfect with all games including vice city.

mine does that but it didnt to start off with but when i look on the discs it has quite a few light sratches- its probably down to that.

Princo's have been flawless for me. I have burned five DVD-R's PS2 backups and two DVD movie backups. I have a small supply of Verbatims and Pioneers just in case, but have not had to use them yet.

GTAVC, Ghost recon, NBA LIVE 2003, NCAA 2003, BMX XXX, Godfather II and Minority Report.
