my computer blew up and i had to build anotherone.

all that survived was the case, cdrom drive and my voodoo 3 3000 pci card.

i installed my voodoo card fine and it works ok in windows and stuff.

When i go to play games the graphics are blotchy and it does not run properly. when trying to play a game it also takes me out the game completely and goes to windows.

i am running off XP. An error message comes up and it says "error due to graphics card" why does the voodoo card work fine except for when i play games?

is there any solution or should i buy a new graphics card??

It might be overheating. Have you tryed to update your drivers?

I think you may find that XP's graphics support for the 3000 is limited esp for newer games, as the company no longer exist and no new drivers are avaiable, it may be time to upgrade.

i have got the latest driver but as the other bloke says, its not avaliable anymore.

even with older games its got the same problem.

might just have to upgrade.

if ur interested m8, in the next week or so, I will have a spare GeForce2 w/ TV out, or a Matrox G400 TV (XP doesn't support the TV in/out tho).
don't know which one I'll have spare yet, first choice goes to my brother, but I have been known to give stuff away, get in touch if ur interested
