i am on NTL boradband and sometimes it can be really slow. is there a way to speed it up.

also i run a program called correct connect that came with the modem. it monitors the servers and stuff. does anyone know about this its always bleeping and stuff.

anyone else use it?

Hi m8, I use NTL broadband too, i dunno about the program cuz i didnt get no program but, sometimes yeah it slows down alot. Mainly at about 7pm when everyone gets on, sometimes i loose my connection completely so i have to reboot and turn the modem off and back on again. This happeneds rarely though as i can run my computer for a week straight and be connected for a week straight.

i always find that it is very slow after about 10pm for some reason.

You also have to bear in mind where in the world u are downloading from I use American sites and find that around the hours of 8-11PM or 2-5pm in the USA my speed also drops considerably however it picks up soon after that and as mentioned before its always on So I dont realy have much of a problem regaining speed

Once you have Registered with NTL n your up n running....Go and DELETE Correct Connect from your Add/Remove Programs....You Dont Really need it, it just makes you Paranoid cause parts of it don't work all the time....it is CRAP n you Don'y Really Need It.....At Certain times of the Day if there be 3 or more people liveing near you who are also on NTL Cable, You Will Slow Done with All Your Uploads n Downloads....Of Course NTL dont tell you all these things...If you want to know what your Download n Upload Speed is, go here.....http://www.pcpitstop.com/ hope that link works for you, if not go to google and type in www.pitstop....it will then give you correct address..Let us know if this has helped you...Take Care, Dennis..
