When hitman 2 trys to load the St. Petersberg Revisited level halfway through loading it crashs to the desktop and an error comes up saying:
Hitman2 has caused an error in
RENDERD3D.DLL
Hitman2 will now close
Does anyone know how to fix this or why it crashes?
thanks

try reinstalling directx [you may want to try 9] although it is most likely to do with your graphics card, update your drivers - be sure to remove old ones before updating

I would say it is a problem caused by old video card drivers, but you`ve already did this!?
-watch for RENDERD3D.DLL
-re-install the game
-re-install your video-card (I had to do this for unreal tournament 2003)

If you have changed video cards in your computer since you last installed windows, I would reinstall windows... drastic last move. I replaced a Voodoo Banshee card in my machine with a GeForce4 and couldn't get some games to run... tried all the above steps but no joy. Ended up wiping the harddrive (needed doing anyway), reinstalled windows etc and presto it worked fine.
