just wondering if you guys would know how long it would take me to create a vcd.
My spec is
1.2ghz duron
256Ram
40gig HD (5400)
also could someone please post me the links to all the tools I will need to create a vcd .

The average length film should be about 4 1/2 - 5 hrs going by how long it takes me on my 1.0g Duron laptop.
If it's just VCD you want to do m8 then Eazy VCD from www.eazyvcd.tk/ cannot be beat for end quality and ease of use, it will also allow you to create SVCD & XVCD's too. And is totaly FREE.
If you are intent on doing SVCD's then DVD2SVCD along with Smartripper & CCE V2.50 to encode is prolly the best way to go and all of these can be downloaded from http://www.doom9.org/ The best method of using these tools I've ever come across is this ONE (http://www.cdrbase.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7755)

Dont make VCD's myself, so dont know how long it takes. But You can get all the tools and help you need from HERE (http://www.vcdhelp.com//)

ok thanx for the info guys, just thought I might want to learn how to do something new with my pc so I thought why not do some back ups of dvds.
Anyway I will let you know how I get on in future.
