PLEASE HELP!!!! celtic_druid Dec 28, 2002, 01:15 AM Moving this to VGB forum. You need some kind of mod device, internal external or bootdisc. It is simply not possible to burn a game that is self booting. Untouchables Jan 01, 2003, 12:40 AM There is a way to play back-up games on playstation. 1st what you need to do is copy the game. then you Need to jam the lid open (making it think it is still closed when it is really opened) Then you get ANY origonal Playstation game (It doesn't matter what one you use. Any one will work) and put it in and turn on the power. The disc will spin slowly at first and then speed up. about 2 seconds after it speeds up pull it out and put the copied game in. The disc will slow down, then speed up (for awhile) then slow down again. When it goes slow immeaditley pull it out and put the origonal one back in. Then when the screen goes black put the copied one back in. Now you should be good to go. Hope this helps you. DeadMansGrave Jan 01, 2003, 12:35 PM it also depends on the type of ps u have i think what untouchables said is either for the ps 1 or psx(grey box) thats nething but the 900x version just get a chip, for the ps that u have it real easy solder points if u know how to solder (no u dont have to be an expert) now if it was a ps2 then thats a diff story also if u keep doing the swap trick it will get to become a hassle and it can probably wear down your cd motor trust me... get a chip its only 5-10 bucks now mmortal03 Jan 05, 2003, 01:06 PM yeah, the swapping sure wore mine out...now it can't spin up fast enough and can only play audio cds :( Any ideas for repair? steelerpaz Jan 05, 2003, 01:30 PM HI all, Where can I get a good bootdisk for a PS1 ??? I am trying to stay away from the Mod Chips unless that is the better way to go. Thanks martini uk Jan 05, 2003, 02:35 PM psx change v2 disc from svp steelerpaz Jan 05, 2003, 02:40 PM Hi, Thanks for the response, but I just was reading through some of the articles here and I saw that PSX Change v2 doesn't work with the brand new PS1 consoles! Any other thoughts or ideas?? Gameshark?? Thanks steelerpaz Jan 05, 2003, 02:47 PM Hi, Thanks for the response, but I just was reading through some of the articles here and I saw that PSX Change v2 doesn't work with the brand new PS1 consoles! Any other thoughts or ideas?? Gameshark?? Thanks DeadMansGrave Jan 06, 2003, 07:16 PM the gameshark... i neva heard ne one use the gameshark as a swap disk... but i still suggest a mod chip it cant be that hard to solder in the ps1 unless there really tite corners.. and i thought the psxchange v2 did work with the ps1... maybe i heard rong or u can allwayz go with the final 2 options a) get your ps1 chipped by someone or b)buy a psx and get the psxchange :D steelerpaz Jan 06, 2003, 10:10 PM Thanks, but the problem is that I have a brand new PSOne console. There is a thread "PS-X-Change 2 disk" that shows that 2 people had problems! DeadMansGrave Jan 06, 2003, 10:29 PM ahh ok... then just get a chip.. they dont cost that much and its a no brainer to installl unless ure real clueless with a solder iron... then just get it installed by someone |
