just curious if anyone has made a working backup of this game. I can't seem to make one that works?

The original from 1999?? I would not think that it would be protected, but you never know. Easiest thing probably would be to use a protection scanner such as Clony.

yes the originalfrom 1999 I have been looking into it and found that it has sucurom v4. i have scanned it with clony and burned it with the lastest version of clone cd. the copy
seems to be exact (size volumes tracks etc.,it even detects the protection on the copied disk ) but it just will not work. when i click on the short cut to play the backed up copy the computer thinks for a few seconds and thats it, no game? anything i've found about clonecd and sucurom says it should have no problem coping this disk ,so i am at a loss as to what i have to do to gat this to work.

The securom key is stored in the subchannel, so just because a copy has the same size volumes, tracks, etc. doesn't mean you made a 1:1 copy.

Make sure that you burnt it using RAW DAO. Also that you read the subchannel data when reading.
