All of the sudden my system ( p4, 256M rambus, xp pro ) stopped recognizing my toshiba dvd drive and teac 524 cd burner. I tried to reinstall drivers but no effect. In any case I'm getting message: device not found. Help!!!

Have you uninstalled something before the problem? I have win2k and when I uninstalled my dvd authoring software or DVDit they mess with some drivers and cdroms become unusable until a fresh install of win2k.
