i am a painter,
so i just need a website where people can look at photo's of my work and where they can contact me.
nothing to difficult.

there are a few sites like freeservers.com that have ready made templates that you may be able to use. For what I can remember there have ready made pages for photo's so that will be ideal to show pictures of your work.
