hi ppl, my lady friend has a new pc on xp, and when she plays music/media on the pc, the sound is really quiet, and the speakers are set to the highest settings, and the volume controls are wacked right up, anyone have any ideas how to remedy this problem? lmk plz ppl, many thanx, heath :beer::cheers:

try different speakers yet?
go to volume control settings again.
option--> properties
make sure you have voume control and Wave checked and make sure they are maxed out. (you've probably alread done that.
make sure they are hooked up right to the motherbord. I think there's another audio hook up back there that will give you sound but really weak because it's not the right one.
