Badidoh Jan 03, 2003, 02:10 AM It's the ripped version by myth. How do i use update patches for it? celtic_druid Jan 03, 2003, 02:26 AM From what I remember the 1.1 patch is nothing more than a new EXE, therefor all you need is a 1.1 noCD EXE, then just replace your old v1.0 noCD EXE with that. Seem to also recall that there was a v1.1 noCD patch, for that you would need the original v1.0 EXE so you could install the official v1.1 update and then patch. C0UGAR UK Jan 03, 2003, 02:30 AM I reckon you cant as they usually check the game.exe file to see if it has been messed with, if it has it simply tells you to get lost, sometimes you can use a packing tool to pack the .exe file to make it smaller in size as the updates usualy check to see if the .exe is larger, but when packed it may still be larger than the original .exe. I cant remember what I used either, but it only worked with VERY few games, and then only if the .exe could be burned to disc. Doesn't all this make Clone CD & Alcohol a bargain :-) 754boy Jan 05, 2003, 02:06 PM This is what I did. I installed GTA3 but before I used the crack that came on the CD, I patched the original gta3.exe with the new patch. Then I swapped it with the nocd v1.1 cracked exe. Its working just fine too. Badidoh Jan 05, 2003, 04:04 PM I d/l'ed mines from kazaa, it was like 150mb ripped, so i don't have the original :( zedy Jan 05, 2003, 06:55 PM celtic_druid's answer is the only one you need bother with. celtic_druid Jan 05, 2003, 11:06 PM Yep, there is no point even running the official patch, because as I said all it does is modify an EXE that you are going to replace anyway. |
