Lazza Jan 03, 2003, 05:20 AM Just found this little beauty:-
_______________
This program will maximize every new Internet Explorer window that you open.
Includes a function for hiding/closing all IE windows with a userdefined hotkey.
You can also specify a particular IE window which will not be hidden/closed when using the hotkey.
Thereīs also a function dealing with popup-windows. You can either close them or leave them as they are. By setting a max size for popup windows, you can control the popup function and make the program close all kinds of popup windows.
Automatically maximize Internet Explorer as they are opened.
Close popup-windows.
Hide/show/close all open IE windows with a hotkey.
Automatically minimize a new IE window when itīs opened.
Maximize all new IE windows to "fullscreen" -mode.
FREEWARE

Lazza Jan 03, 2003, 05:50 AM Not yet m8, downloading it now myself too. :)
Smiffy280361 Jan 03, 2003, 06:21 AM Hi Lazza
Just downloaded and installed the proggie,in setup if you choose to add an icon to IEx I get a malicious script virus alert, before installing the proggie I did a virus scan on the zip file which showed nothing, what about you.....?
Smiffy
Lazza Jan 03, 2003, 06:43 AM No m8, installed fine and I've done a Trojan check via Tauscan and an F-Secure Virus scan too and both show it to be 100% clean.
Been using it for about 20 mins and it runs very well, no signs of any bugs as yet. One  prog!
Smiffy280361 Jan 03, 2003, 06:48 AM Must be my settings m8,i'll allow the script to be run....
Cheers
Smiffy
1k memory Jan 03, 2003, 06:54 AM yea, most good script blockers would block it as when changing a few files it does stuff what could potentially be a hazard to ur system, and so it blocks it, just close all script blocking proggies and carry on, thats what i did
HTH
gfscvx Jan 03, 2003, 06:21 PM I found another great IE tool, its really useful. Says it works for IE5, but i run it with IE 6 on XP and have had no problems with it:
http://wettberg.home.texas.net/cachemanager.htm
Basically it puts a button on the IE taskbar up the top (by the "back", "forward", "stop", etc buttons). And one sly click on it silently clears your history and temp internet files in a few seconds - very useful.
Slice Jan 03, 2003, 09:15 PM Thanks Lazza, been lookin' for something like this!!

dadofsam, just click on Help menu in your internet explorer and then the last item called About. It will tell you the IE version and any patches or updates that are installed.

Lazza Jan 05, 2003, 05:43 AM I agree celtic, MyIE2 is a great bit of software. Used to use it a while back, must try it again as the multiple browser feature was a joy to use especially on forums like this one.
