What is the difference in the 2 when referring to PC games.
Also what are the benefits.
Sorry if it is a stupid question.
Cheers

im not to sure if i can answer this one here,
cloned is when there is know need for cracks or anything, accept a serial maybe
Cracked is when u d/l a program that stops the protection checking to see whever its copied
Cloned is better as u dont have to get a different crack everytime u patch it to a higher version which is a pain in the arse, i would go for cloned if u have the option

Cloned - Perfect 1:1 of the original which means it can be installed and played as if it was bought from a shop
Cracked - All the files are present to install the game but a .exe file is needed to replace the default file, then the game can be played.

CloneCD Pros: Closer to the original; cracked games are altered slightly. Assuming you don't have some sort of protection CloneCD can't duplicate in your way, this is in my opinion, the better way to go.
CloneCD Cons: Copies are not exactly 1:1 in all instances, but it does the best any CD program can. The negative aspect is that there may be a protection Clone cannot duplicate, in which case the cracked version would be better for backing up the game.

I would not consider a copy of a CD that a software does not support a Cloned copy. Some protections however use an ATIP check, there is nothing that any software can do to avoid this, well other than blocking the check, which means running additional software.
A 1:1 copy is always better, I mean if you can't copy the copy, you can always crack it. You can't make a 1:1 copy from a cracked copy.
