hey dudez i have a matsushita 7502 thats about 5 yrs old, and has burnt reliably for the most part. Now i'm getting burn errors halfway through on nero, fireburner, cdrwin.. and sometimes i'll be able to burn it through, and some files will have crc probs. I had this type of problem before when i used nero 5.5.. it burnt good for a while then just started messing up every cd i had, so i uninstalled and put nero 5.0 on, magically it cleared it up, but now its started again!!!! Any ideas as to whether this is a software or hardware problem, and what are some remedies that you can think of to solve it? I reinstalled aspi drivers to v4.60, are there any registry entries that might be bad? i think old versions of the registery have been installed since a couple bad crashes i had recently, maybe the 5.5 reg entris are still in? well any help would be nice thanks!

For a five your old drive now going bad my guess is that the burner is getting dirty.
