hi all, im looking at purchasing my first dvd writer but at a cost of over £200
i want to buy the right one.
im looking at the pioneer 105 but as i understand, it will only do DVD-R/RW and not DVD+R/RW.
having read another post these are the two 'competing' types of dvd.will this matter?
are there any others worth looking at?
wheres the best place on the internet to purchase one?

I read on BBC News Online (the article isn't there anymore) that this is a bit like betamax and VHS if you pick the wrong one you could be stuffed! However there are some 'hybrid' writers that will write both formats. HTH
