ok ive just done my first dvd9 backup following a guide using the following software.
DVD Decrypter
DVD2AVI
TMPGEnc Plus
ChapterXtractor
Spruce DVDMaestro
Gear Pro DVD

here's my question my finished dvdr is just less than 2 gig in size .
have i encoded it too much ? if so what setting would i have to change.
picture quality is ok..i could of fitted all the extras on

2gig is very low but if your happy with the quality then does it really matter - goto vcdhelp.com and download the bitrate calculator it will help you get closer to the max limit

thanks yinyan after looking closer at it ,although the dvd was a dvd9 the main movie files were less than 4gig ,so after all that i need not of re encoded after all.
ill check that bitrate calculator out though for future use.
