Which settings for Tempgenc when Converting Divx to DVD comp MPEG2?

Ive got a few divx files which need converting and I have converted a Divx to mpeg 2 using the wizard.I selected Ntsc 4:3 dvd.

It converted fine and I authured a dvd in Spruce up and it played ok in that. The problem is that when its burnt to disk the film judders a bit and sometimes the audio is just off.

Is there another way to do this or am I doing something wrong?

Is it the settings in tempgenc need tuning?

Is my machine man enough? P4 1.7Ghz 256mb

ok u need to rip the audio with virtual dub first and choose the wav file it creates as the audio input, this will put the audio in sync

Could be you need to extract the audio first but I have never had a problem doing Divx to VCD so thought coverting to DVD wouldnt do anything either.

I know exactly what your talking about because i have experienced it!

Strange thing is it plays fine on my APEX, PC and Pioneer standalone but when i tried it in my brothers Cyberhome it does exactly what you said, it plays through a bit then freezes, the audio goes messed up then it plays ok for a few seconds then back to f***ing up.

I have no idea at all why it does on some machines but not others. Oh it also does the messed up thing on a PS2, if you ever find out mate let me know!

Peace
