i have looked through many conflicting opinions on dvd-r disks, uptill now i have been using greentop bulkpaq gen4's 2x disks, and had very few probs with the actual disks (more probs with my inexperience).

However, i have just recieved 60 bulkpaq gen4 silvertop 2x disks and my first 5 are unreadable (i use a 105) in my dvdr and my standalone (toshiba sd220e)

so, please recommend me some decent dvdr's - kind. please do not bother mentioning choice gen 3 or neo premium as i happen to know they are rubbish to put it lightly.

i have used dvd master but only found 1x disks, i have a 105 and am already wasting the 4x capability, don't want to waste the 2x as well.

i also can't afford to be buying verbs and pioneer and equals, and to be honest having used pioneer and verb, and having had more failed than the green top bulkpaq, i don't believe that expensive media is worth what it costs.

i can't find anywhere that has the greentops in stock, so a diff disk (i have heard good things about ritek dyes on these forums) or anywhere i can get dvdmaster off the internet at 2x speed would be good

cheers

andy

FWS x1 seem to be the ones to go for, but they are damned hard to get at the moment. There are some on ebay, but their overpriced.
Everywhere seems to be low on stock at the moment. I've used the viostar (I think its viostar, or something like that) unbranded I had from a local shop 25 for £19. They work on everything other than an xbox, and write great on the 105 (x1 though). Looks like I'll be getting another batch until the FWS are back in stock =(
