I have a V1.0 xbox, im looking at buying a matrix mod chip, i have downloaded the bios for the matrix chip, but do i also have to install the EVOX dashboard on the xbox, or can i just leave that as it is and install EVOX D6 on the matrix chip and still play back ups?
If i dont have to install the EVOX dashboard aswell, what are the advantages if i do?

If you purely want to use your xbox to play backup games then there is no need to install evox dash.

Advantages of evox dash is that you can run all homebrew software from it - like, dvdregionx, boxplorer, media player, video selector.

Basically it turns it into much more than a games console.
