Im using media i know works on the xbox. I downloaded evox made a iso using xiso and burned it and my xbox says its not an xbox disc. please let me know if i did something wrong.

xISO isn't too good at burning ISOs - I only use it for extracting the files - try NERO and burn onto a CDRW.

I've have done this aswell and nero doesn't work

mine wont play cdr or any of the cdrw i have but they play dvdrs its a pain cause i dont have a dvdr so using homebrew stuff is impossible cause it will only boot 1 in a 100 times well if it was a cdr that could be the problem some drives play them some dont some only like certain disc etc cdrw work in alot more xbox drives but again some only like certain brand u should try a couple of cdrws different brands but use quality discs also there is a version of evox out which has a dummy file and it is the only disc that work 80 percent of the time but i could not get the non dummied one to work

Try GDFImage, that's the best, cuz it's what MS uses.

Unpack with XISO or any ISO extractor, remake an image with GDFImage then burn.

Else, unpack, burn using Prassi Datadisc.

try cal_g's method in the faq folder using prassi primo dvd (you don't need a dvd burner) i had problems with other methods but this one hasn't failed me yet!!
