I have just purchased two 6” TFT screens for the car and now I would like to be able to play games and watch DVDs.

So the question is what is best – X-Box or PS2 (and why?) and should it be chipped (which chip?).

This is a ps2 forum so your answers are going to biased towards the ps2.

you'll need a remote to play dvds on xbox. a lot of xbox games are on ps2 anyway and ps2 has games like vice city and the getaway.

i think ps2 is better because it has a wide selection of great games new and old and you can play dvds without the remote. im 15 and most people my age have ps2s if that helps at all?

only thing bout XBOX is that it has an incredibly better laser and it is 1000X more hackable- movies, applications, games being played from hard drive only, ftp access, menus, etc.

I love PS2 though- XBOX just doesn't have any good games, except HALO for multiplayer.

well, but since you want to watch movies in your cars.... i guess x-box would be the answer.... becuz it let you play divx/vcd very easily and as far as i know, you only need to transfer those avi file from your computer to the hard-drive and you are set...... this will benifit you a lot if you don't have a dvd burner or have a lot of divx movies or so........ :D......

i think this thread should go maybe in the vgb or something cuz its more than 1 console were talkin about.. but w/e...
ok im 15 years old and ive played the xbox and own a GC and ps2 and play more of my ps2 than gc (i think my gc gathered more dust that under my bed :) )obviously id go with a ps2 cuz of the games it has... the graphics for games dont count for me cuz its not the ps2 its the game... and most games are great... and for dvd movies etc ud want to go with a ps2 cuz u dont have to get the remote and if this is gunna be in the garage... why da hell would u want a remote... if u get chipped ps2 make sure it is a messiah 2 for best results... happy hunting for a console.. hoped i helped...
