If this duplicates I appologize. I had errors the first time it posted and was not sure it made it through. Anyways.. i am trying to make a back-up copy of red Alert 2 with no prevail. I have tried using Nero 5.0 as well as Clone CD 2.8.3.1. I have even installed clonyxl which says it has safedisc v2 on the CD. CLonyxl said it could not automatically transfer the settings, but said to use a 4x read with fast error skip set to 3 retries and none for error corrections. I set those parameters for the CD burner and have still only made coasters. When it tries to read the CD the frist screen comes up ok. but when you click install or play (if it has already been installed from the original CD) it takes a while then eventually gives an error.

I have a cyber drive 36 x 12 x 48 cd-rw. and I am running on windows XP.

any help on what I may be doing incorrectly to create a usuable back-up would be greatly appreciated.

Hi mate, I backed up the original of this game (UK version) using clone cd and a plextor drive no problem at all. Have yo tried updating to a more recent version of clone CD (Not sure if this just updates supported devices or what). I'm using version 4.0.0.1
