I have useds DVD2SVCD to convert two .avi files to SVCD's. I thought when all was finished I would be left with .cue and .bin files I could burn. There are a lot of files in the output folder but no .cue or .bin files. The whole conversion process took about 10 hours and appeared to go smoothly.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Greets there should be a couple files called " bbmpeg_muxed_filexx.mpg" these are the Movie files the rest you can deleated..... You should have had a couple bin/cue's as you said!! But these are the Movie File you need. you can burn them with Nero but you will need the Svcd plugin....... I'm not sure of any free programs to burn them...... sorry maybe someone else can help you out!!

No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't use the Nero SVCD plug-in m8!!! :laugh:

Without wanting to upset anyone's views on this plug-in IMHO it's the biggest piece of cr@p their is. Nero is fine for straight VCD autor/burn but garbage for SVCD. Much better off using VCD Easy which is FREE from www.vcdeasy.org/ You will get no quality of playback or lipsync problems if you use this.

As Onlymenotu said, you should have 2 or 3 mpeg files in the folder which you just load & burn one at a time in VCD Easy. Burn at the slowest speeds you can, I find 8X is fine. I've had some VCD's sent to me lately done at 32X and the quality is awful, bin jobs.

This should be in the VCD forum btw, but I'm sure it will get moved their for you. ;)

No .I wasn't Saying use the svcd plugin but....... if you try'n burn a svcd with out the plugin installed( I Thought I rembered It would Throw an Error) unsupported format.... unless you bought it!! or some b.s like that!!
AS LAZZA said Nero's svcd is @rap......You've already in encoded the Movie with either CCE or Tmpge........ no need wasting any more time on a job that is WELL done in the first place.......... Sorry I Should Have Been More Clear on the Nero Plugin

Thanks for your replies guys. I will try vcdeasy to burn them. Here's some more info on my problem:
"Don't make images" is not checked, so that can't be the problem. At first there was only one Muxed file. I ran "Recover" and now there are three Muxed files 00, 01, and 02 but still no .bin and .cue files. During the recovery, I got this error message:
Could not find user data at I-frame 3410 in file
C:\the output folder....\bbmpeg_muxed_file00.mpg
Corrupted file maybe??
Based on your replies above can I just go ahead and burn the mpg files as data files using vcdeasy and they will work??

Firstly...."Don't make images" box should be checked.

Second, you will not be burning the images as "data" files using VCD Easy. They are mpeg files and the "SVCD 1.0" box should be checked on Video CD type in the main tab. You then simply click on "add files" and browse for the mpeg file you wish to burn. Before doing all this though, make sure burn speed settings are correct and also that your ASPI layer is good otherwise VCD Easy will not be able to function.

One or more of the files may be corupted I guess, easiest way to find out is play them back in power DVD or Win DVD on your system first to check they are OK.
