bin sat here most of the night pondering the 64,000 dollar question.......and i thinx that i'm not alone in this one

does any dvd player play mp3+g at all.........and if so what model and how much and where !!!.......i know its a bit of a long shot but surely it wont be long before one does,......also do any of you clever chapps out there know of any computer dvd roms that recognise cg+g......i'm still undecided as to go pc karaoke or normal cd karaoke .....thanks gram77ok@yahoo.co.uk

advice needed.....................

my pals just told me there is a place in scotland that do conversions to dvd players to play mp3+g and he also tells me his mates cousin in blackpool uses dvd discs with 600 mp3+g s on them ??? question 1, does anyone know of this method ?? 2, is it possible to get that many on a dvd ????? anyone know coz if its true its gotta be a winner !:idea:

Answer to question 1.........Never heard of it.......
Answer to question 2........600 is feasible.....if it's 600 tracks, which
on average is about 15 discs.......yes, it is possible......unzipped as
well.

as far as I know it's only the cavsusa player which plays mp3+G.......be warned though it's their own version of mp3+G, NOT the mp3+G's available here.

right then if thats true that i can get about 800 songs on a dvd r does anyone know if all dvd roms for pc's read cdg in any format ,coz i might leave my sets in mp3+g format and burn them on to dvd as my pal up the road has a dvd burner !....he reckons if i buy his laptop off him ( ibm thinkpad) with a phono out for video, and buy an external usb dvd i will be ok.........anyone :)

as far as i know there is only 1 mp3g dvd player which is made by Cavs, the only problem with these is they only play there own mp3g.

Now this is a hot topic, do all dvdroms play all dvd media? NO! they don't, most recent dvdroms play most dvd media but not all (90- 95% success is my guess) the brands differ and maybe even the software used to burn them has a bit to with it. I suggest, funds permitting, you buy a disc from a trader here to test first, dont worry if it doesnt work cos you can then post it to me and I will test it for you, I will of course pay postage.
