I have an asus a7m266 mb and I would like to maybe get a new hard drive but I just wondered if there was a limit to the size it would take.

Check out their homepage mate. I've just been on msi's webpage and all the information was listed there eg max cpu, hd, memory etc. was listed in their database archive for each model. I'm guessing asus's site will be similar.
