Having just got one of these, how do I find out what firmware is in it. Using datawrite 2x classic and they are writing at 2x (nero 5.5.9.17) but when played back on Reoc A5 they keep freezing and then jumping to where they should be. Also if you nice people recommend a firmware update, where do I get one (apart from the pioneer site).

as you know there is media problems,,,people are finding that
later versions of nero are not as good,,try go back a few versions,,
i had a few dodgy 2x classics,,


the only place for the firmware i know is the pioneer site,,waiting on
a hacked version,,,

try using prassiprimodvd or recordnowmax as I havent had a successful DVD from Nero yet. I have 100% success rate with the other two, I'm using A05 with datawrite classics at 2x with no problems whatsoever, just ordered 100 4x datawrite classics as they have been given an excellent review
