iapepsiguy Jan 23, 2003, 02:21 AM I am new here, but I have a problem. My burner, I know will not read or write gd+g. I have a lot of cd+g discs, and would like to copy them. Could someone tell me if I can do this with my non compatable burner, and how I would go about doing it? Thanks
P.S. My burner is a Mitsumi CRX5TE if that matters.
TraffO7 Jan 23, 2003, 05:11 AM Hi there,
For all the help info you need, go to www.karaokeplayground.co.uk and read up on the "Using an incompatible burner" pages. Or, if you want a Plextor 16/10/40A Writer, that is a dream tool for this job, email me back, and I'll tell you how to get one.

oxocubeman Jan 23, 2003, 06:02 AM karaokeplayground has been down for a couple of days now
Traxmaster2002 Jan 23, 2003, 07:14 AM I believe that you should be able to make a 1:1 copy with clone cd,alcohol, diskjuggler or blindwrite. How old is your drive?, if its a very new model then support may not yet of been added.
iapepsiguy Jan 24, 2003, 12:07 AM Thanks for the info. Karaokeplayground is still down, but I will check it out. Also my burner is about 3 years old, and I have tried cdclone and alcohol, and it didn't work......no graphics.
gram77ok Jan 24, 2003, 01:35 AM your better off with a plextor off alan traffo7 (if hes got any left) or steve 54 ....believe me ive got one and they do anything.
Traxmaster2002 Jan 24, 2003, 06:10 AM I have found out some more info on your drive and it doesn't support disc at once raw +96. I though it was a new model which would of supported this required writing mode. Your drive cannot write cd+g.
jordon 63 Jan 26, 2003, 03:39 AM I had this prob m8 so i used the latest clone softwear and had to sort the settings in clone then bobs your uncle if you need info on how i can mail you a guide LMK.

iapepsiguy Jan 26, 2003, 03:28 PM Hey all, scrap the old burner I had, my Dad gave me a new burner, it is a Philips CDRW3210S. It also does not do cd+g, but I tweeked the CloneCD settings and it works! I still need help though. It is an accasional coaster maker. About every 3rd disc I do it has an error message that says "SPINDLE SERVO FAILURE (4:0x09:0x03)". It doesn't have that error if I write at 16x or higher, but if I write above 8x the graphics are messed up. Help if you can.
DR_JUICE Jan 28, 2003, 09:56 PM i have a brand new yamaha CRWF1 burner and am having troubles getting it to give me a clean burn. it does the disc copy without a problem but when played in my karaoke machine the graphics are unreadable.. i have tried the cd's in different karaoke machines and even used different brand names of blank cd's. my friend has an older yamaha 8x4x24 burner and i am using the same speed settings for reading and writing, even tried to slow it down to 4x r/w but didn't help any.. could it be my version of cdrwin?
vinniedub Jan 28, 2003, 10:58 PM could be, but I don't think so, although it's been said many times before on this forum........don't use a version of cdrwin with a keygen. That said though, the errors you tend to get when using a keygen version are a little different than those you describe (mainly static or 'white noise') Try reading at a slightly faster speed, say 6x or 8x but keep your burn speed to 4x
