I am running Windows 98 on a Dell Dimension 733 box. I have a QPS 16x10x40 Firewire CDRW drive and a LiteOn 40X internal CD drive. I am using EZ CD Creator 5.0 Platinum as my burning software. The problem is this... I am trying to burn a dance CD where there is no dead air between songs; one song blends right into the next. Every copy I have tried making has skips at the transitions of the songs, but the rest of the song sounds fine. I have already upgraded my software and reinstalled twice, still with the same results. I know the original CD is okay, burned it on a friends computer and it worked fine. Roxio is zero help and thought I would try elsewhere. Do I need to upgrade my CD drive, my CDRW, change some Wiindows settings? HELP ME!!! I am pretty new to all of this and I'm not sure what all the settings in Windows should be.

Nero is much Easier to Do n Follow....Never done it with EZCD...So here is what i know, rest you'll have to waste a CDR or two while experimenting or go to the Facts part of this Forum for info....
Use Wizard, it will say-Make a CD-then click-Music CD Project...Find your Albums, Drag songs to bottom part....Click in Empty space to right of first track and a window will open called, "Audio Track Transitions" from there your on your own as i not used it.....Also up top next to Tools is Track, click it after highlighting a song then click on Merge Tracks, again your on your own as I have not never used this in EZCD....I use Nero cause its Easier to Do.... Good Luck.....Let us know how you got on......regards, Dennis...

I've managed to fix my problem! Turns out it wasn't software related. My 40X CD drive was not reading the disc fast enough I guess. I bought a new 52x23x52 internal burner and went from it to my Firewire drive. Considerably less time to burn the disc and with no errors. It took about 3 mins. to burn vs. about 15 mins. with the 40X CD drive. Would never had thought that this was the problem but luckily got it fixed.
