A friend of mine is having some problems with his Phillips cd-rw drive. Here's what he says is going on...
~~I need help. I installed XP on my computer, and now, my CD-RW doesn't work. XP says the device is functioning properly. However, whenever I put any cd's into the CD-RW, it says there is nothing there. It recognizes and sees the CD-RW, but I cannot read any cd's off of it, no matter what type. I checked the IDE cable and power, and they are fine. When I checked the event viewer on XP, it says the CD Rom has a bad block. Can anyone help me figure out what to do. I can't install the driver, because it's on a CD. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.~~
Please email him with any ideas or suggestions you might have as to how to fix this at coronius@yahoo.com
Thanx All!
