Hello all, at work we have a Netowrk of PC's & MAC's one of the PC's connects to the net via our ISDN channel and then shares it to whoever wants it (not fast i know but im normally th eonly one on it! ) anyway, i have been trying to get MSN Messenger to work but it just wont connect, we also cannot connect to FTP's via the IDSN or certain realplayer streams etc. which is annoying me!

I dont think there is any major software ont he firwall pc, just the normal dial up that connects when someone over the netowrk requests it (by launching internet explorer etc..) there is a mail program on there that scans allt e incoming/outgoing e-mail and directs it to the right people.

I was wondering if there was anyway i could get messenger to work? i have tried putting the proxie address in the prefrences (the ip address of the firewall computer that dials up) this is what we have to put into Internet explorers prefrences to get it to use the connection, but still no luck, just cant connect

Anyone got any ideas?

PS this is the Mac version of MSN but its shouldnt make a difference
