Hello, I was wondering If anyone knows if you can use one cpu on a dual cpu motherbaord or can it only run with 2.

It will work with one, I'm fairly sure (Seen it done, but don't know if it's mobo specific). But why you would want to I'm not sure.

you can (or at least i know you can with the tyan dual AMD mobos) but what would be the point. Alot of mobos can be picky and require the excact same processors in both slots when you are using two processors in the board. so even if you buy just one proc now if you add another one of the same speed later there is a small chance that the mobo will tell you to **** off
