why am i getting a pink border

Don't know but the pink border means it isn't going to boot. What are you trying to achieve?

neo 2.2, have tryed the holding down reset method and the press eject when Insert disc appears, both no joy

what version is your PS2 - v5 can't boot dvdr on it's own with just neo2.2 - can u boot other DVDr OK?

If yes - it may be dodgy media or burned too fast....

its v3, trying ore dvdr, which is the best media to use? Also found that only certain cdrs work, does that mean bad chip? They work fine with region x so i guess it cant be that

so ur setup is same as mine - I can play dvdr np with ar2/DMC demo or swap magic

only use good DVDr media eg: apple, verbs, pioneer

some cdr won't load cos swap magic cdr boot cd is crap - only boots rips under 630MB I believe - use region x(boots 95% of my cdr) or AR2(boots 100% cdr and dvdr)

I have a swap magic set and Neo2.2 chip I have NEVER hd a problem with booting any dvdr game with these little beauties ....
I to get a pink screen However after i have waited about 5 seconds after the dvdr has loaded before i hit the start button...... the pink screen comes up around the insert disc screen and then the discs load No problems at all .. used all kinds of media expensive and cheap and nasty .. I guess it comes down to the laser and its ability to read the discs .... my brother has also a set of these discs and if he could hed buy loads as he loves em

It might not boot with Swap Magic disks, or its a bad copy.

quick update..ordered gta vice city from someone else and its boots no probs, a blue border comes up but then the game loads, it must be that the getaway was a bad copy?
