Hey I was just wondering what the drawbacks of the PS2 no solder modchipr are. I was looking to purchase a chip but I can't solder. In the description of the product it says it boots all cdrs and dvdrs, so I don't know what the flaws of this product are. Thanks

Here is the website:

That is all just swapping, I'd rather save the money than spend a couple extra seconds each time.

Agree with you mate, just put a no-solder chip in my Ver. 7 Use Magic Disk with no probs. Must admit though thinking of going for the FLIPTOP Case as the kids have trouble swapping disc (you get about 3 secs to do the swap ) . What I have read is that the Magic disc works the same way as the old PSX-change 2 disc for the trusty PS One.
All you need the chip for is to fool the PS2 in thinking the Slide tray is still closed.
