Mad Catz Buys GameShark

Mad Catz Interactive announced today that it has acquired the rights to the GameShark brand and the www.gameshark.com web site URL from InterAct.

"The GameShark acquisition is attractive and significant to Mad Catz for several reasons," said Morris Perlis, Mad Catz CEO. "First, it enables us to increase the breadth of high-quality offerings available to leading retailers and the gaming community. Finally, we believe the acquisition supports our goals for margin enhancement and financial growth. We are delighted to welcome GameShark to the Mad Catz family of products."

great to hear:D, Mad Catz is great...i've got a couple of their PS2 Controllers....work great, good to hear that GS is still gonna be around and that it's now in safe hands:)

oh man............ as far as i have experienced with MadCatZ product, they are pretty cheaply made, and it's worn out pretty fast too.....

I've got a madcatz mem card and it works great, sometimes the PS2 won't read it but i'll just wiggle it a little when its plugged in and it gets read ok
never used the controller though so you'd have to tell me

yeah, i also have a madcatz mem card for like 2 years now and it still working fine but my GBA madcatz light is not working!!!!!! lol :D......

they make a lotta different things don't they!

I've had problems with MagCatz mem cards for PS1, so I never bought another off-brand PS2 accessary again.

I can imagine the problems that the new GS dongle will have

Hopefully they will do a good job. I can't see how they could mess something up that's already been made for a while but we'll see... (I'm still glad the the GS wasn't lost for good.) :cool:

I've had one of their controllers for quite a while and have never had a problem with it......

its crock of shi_t init!! mad catz iz sh~~it! there memory card iz made 2 thick for a start!! why not get a offical card n cast the same fittness they should of done that init!! cheapest best 1 iz logic
