as the question says, the tray comes in and out really fast with the ea method, than when you normally press eject. looks like it may damage it soon. how can Is low this down? Is there another solder point I can wire to? I have a PS2 version 4 with the neo 2.2 fitted;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;please help

i've had mine for over two years now and it has done it no damage.

psibob84, does your tay come out really fast then using the EA method?? I use miny a lot now as I use the "swap magic" to boot DVD-R this way!!

yes it comes out quite fast.
and i've had the neo 2.2 the entire life span of the ps2

there is a way if you can find a day....
here we go:
1. open up your ps2
2. remove the ea wire
here is an alternative method:
1. boot up your ps2 without holding the reset button, and when you need to open the tray, just press the eject button and it will pop out slowly for you.
here is another method:
1. boot up your ps2, and hold down the reset button
2. when, boot games, don't release the reset button but press the eject button
3. boot up your games and never release the reset button, just hold it and play...

thanks, but which number is the ea wire m8??? It is a version 4 PS2 and all 8 wires are connected atm.

There is very little u need to EA boot these days anyway ... but gotta agree it is a bit scary the speed it flies out!!
