Hi there,

I have a friend who has an Autistic son. She has a few CD's full of small games for him. She is looking for some way to launch the programs. She made an html file with simple images for each game, yet when they are clicked they want to download the game from her ROM to her computer.

She is basically looking for something that will
1. auto run (would be nice but not that big of a deal to make)
2. be able to customize the buttons ( both the number of buttons and
icons for each button, as she has a few hundred programs on each CD)
3. run the programs from the CD's instead of downloading them to the
computer. ( space is an issue on the computer that her son uses)

Anyone have any suggestions?

I have seen several of these CD menu programs but the easiest one I've found is PGD Menu Creator. It isn't exactly what your looking for, as far as customizable icons but it has a dropdown menu look to it and each menu item can have a picture displayed in a little window so you could have a picture of the program that you want to use. You can get it at - http://www.pgd.dk/n_index.htm

As far as the programs running from the CD, that is up to the program itself. If the program needs to instal itself to run, you're pretty much out of luck trying to run it only from the CD.
